Privacy Policy
The short version: Weather Gnome doesn't want your data. It just wants to tell you the weather.
- No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for and no profile about you.
- Location, only for weather. If you allow location access, your device's coordinates are sent directly to the Open-Meteo weather service to fetch your local forecast. That's the only thing they're used for. Location access is optional โ you can search for cities instead.
- Nothing is stored on our servers. We don't run any. Your saved cities, settings, and gnome collection live only on your device.
- No tracking, no ads, no analytics. The app contains no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no tracking of any kind. Your data is never sold or shared.
Weather and geocoding requests are made over HTTPS to Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com), whose own privacy policy is available on their site. The coordinates sent are not linked to your identity.
If this policy ever changes, the change will be posted on this page.
